Please forgive my interruption in your day.
I typically don’t post on Tuesdays, but wanted to point out that I’m not really here. Instead, I’m over at Julie Hedlund’s Write Up My Life blog.
She’s hosting pre-published children’s writers on Tuesdays as part of the 12 x 12 in 2012 challenge.
I share a little about my writing process — rules or no rules? To find out, please stop by Julie’s.
I saw it! You are sooooo cool! I loved spending time with you. Hugs and smooches, my friend. 🙂
Thanks Robyn. Glad we can spend time together.
I really loved your post about ignoring rules. Rules are meant to be broken, after all. Thanks! X
Yes Jane. I think especially in the draft stage. Of course, many rules come into play later in the process.
Thanks for going first! Loved you post.
“your post”… silly enter key.
Thanks Hannah.
I decided to write here Stacy because I’m not part of the 12 x 12 group, but wanted to tell you I liked what you wrote about your process & it’s such a pleasure to be able to take these ideas to help students when I teach them. I work in an independent school & feel very comfortable not following the rules, as do the students. I love this sentence: They (stories) just want to escape and explore the page for a bit before reality reels them in. Thanks!
I’m happy to share Linda. It’s wonderful your school allows/encourages this.
Hi again, Stacy. Thanks for visiting my blog, & wanted to say I haven’t bought her book, but am following Marion Roach’s blog. It’s great.
Oh, I forgot that Linda. I appreciate you reminding me. The blog contains many helpful tips from the book
I read your post on Ms. Hedlund’s site. I really liked it!
Thanks for the guidepost, Stacy.
You don’t interrupt my day, ever. 🙂
