A New Place to Write

Today, I’m over at Writing from the Peak, the Pikes Peak Writers Blog, talking about this cool new place I write.

Hubby gave me this perfect Christmas present.

I took this picture before I spilled water all over it during a plane ride with a toddler (I had to throw that explanation in there).

So, it’s getting broken in this year with all types of life experiences as it’s being filled with story ideas, notes and stories.

  1. It is a beautiful place to write! I can almost smell the leather and sense the softness of the cover. I love my Mac, but it’s a cold, cold thing, not amenable to sniffing or caressing. 😉

  2. Your toddler is just looking out for your reputation; a pristine writing journal makes a person look like a poseur.

    1. True Mike. He also does a good job of covering me with stickers before I go out and about.

  3. Lovely! There’s nothing like a pile of blank pages waiting to be filled up with goodies 🙂 (And Mike probably has Enzo pegged :))

  4. Nothing better than a nice new leather journal to write in. So cool and what a thoughtful hubby!

  5. That is lovely, Stacy! A beautiful journal is the way to a writer’s heart…crisp pages just crying out for your words to fill it. 🙂 And what’s a little water.:)

  6. Stacy…had to let you know I read your article for Pikes Peak Writers…awesome! I knew you could write GREAT picture book stories…now I have enjoyed another side of you.:)

    1. Thanks Tami. Glad you found it useful. There’s a ton of blogging advice “out there” on the interwebs. 🙂

  7. It is beautiful. I love leather, and the idea of writing in it. The christening by spills… not so much. I appreciate well-made, sentimental gifts. Best wishes with ideas and enjoy!

  8. Ooh, me again. Just noticed the embossing of your initials. Love that too.
