Why I Like this Book: I found Ribbit Rabbit by accident. My son likes to play games on the computers at the library and this was on display on a back wall. The cute frog, bunny and robot on the cover made me pick it up. The first page hooked me. By the second page, I knew my son would like this one. A Kirkus Reviews, starred review of this book begins like this: “The rhythmic, onomatopoeic text is a pretty music, the kind of song you’d sing in the dark to lift your spirits.” The book really scores a 10 — that being the best — on read out loud fun.
It also looks like the author Candace Ryan and Mike Lowery have teamed up for another title called Moo Hoo (2012) — the story of a cow and owl.
