For this dog person, I really liked these two pict For this dog person, I really liked these two picture books that feature cats (and one dog). PAY ATTENTION TO ME! by Kate McKean and Rob Justus and WIDGET by Lynn Rossiter McFarland and Jim McFarland. They were published 25 years apart. Thanks to the public library, I found them both on the shelf. Read them with your cat (and pet) loving kiddos. #childrensbooks #cats #publiclibrary #libraryhaul

In 2014, I made an entry in the PPLD Rocks video contest. Tiny Enzo 🥰. Teen Enzo is questioning my video choices! 🙄I'm so excited to attend All Pikes Peak Reads events. I shared paper quilling at the @cobbcountylibrary I shared paper quilling at the @cobbcountylibrary today. I've taken several craft classes over the summer and volunteered to share quilling. Everyone was enthusiastic and patient as it was my first time teaching! I made a few slides. I tried to keep it simple. Roll. Glue. Pinch! canva.link/quillingintro-jensen. I'm also sharing a pet portrait I made of Luna. I made so many mistakes creating this, but that's how I learn. I was delighted to see BEFORE I LIVED HERE on display in the children's section, as I walked through to pick up a few books. #paperart #paperquilling #librarymakerspace #librarieschangelives #volunteer #artist #author
My co-workers have been guiding my recent baking a My co-workers have been guiding my recent baking adventures. A chocolate and peanut butter recipe was suggested for my next treat. So, I made these peanut butter cupcakes with a chocolate peanut butter frosting. There were no complaints - that I heard. I also made a gluten free version for the family, which was a first for this recipe. This cupcake is great for bake sales and for co-workers. I really enjoy this combination too. #cupcakes
This picture book – ACROSS THE ICE How We Saved th This picture book – ACROSS THE ICE How We Saved the Ojibwe Horse by Darcy Whitecrow, Heather M. O'Connor, and Natasha Donovan - tells the story of the Lac La Croix First Nation helping save the Ojibwe horse. Children are too excited to sleep as they await the horses arrival. Nookomis tells them the story of the how they lived with these wild horses — each helping the other. Eventually, the Ojibwe herd dwindled to four. They were saved and gradually the herd has grown to 180. It's an interesting story for children to learn the history of these horses. I hope you can find a copy at your library or at your local bookstore. #MondayHistory #childrensbooks #picturebooks #OjibweHorse
